For Question one on page 908, the one I found most appealing was the one done by Melanie Frost on page 905. This is because it is simple and easy to read. It also has a picture of a tree made out of hands which to me symbolizes that we all can come and work together, even though we are diverse. It also symbolizes how different students from different backgrounds can live together in the same residence halls. The one that was my least favorite was the one by Stephanie Heyman on page 904. I think there is just too much going on the backgrounds with all the colors make it hard to read. The letters and words are also in different fonts making the poster difficult to read and know whats going on.
For Question one on page 921, the first cartoon is making fun of the fact that one can get into college based on their race and preferences. The second cartoon is making fun how the Supreme Court makes the decision of if race should promote diversity when they are all white but one. The third cartoon is a group of pictures making fun of the fact that other ethnicity than white have a better chance of getting into college on the fact there different and supposedly had a harder life than whites. The fourth cartoon is a group of college students and one that did not get in because a minority took his place because the school wants to be diverse. And the last cartoon shows how rich people can make it easier for there kids to get into college. The one I think is most effective is the fourth one about admissions because colleges are pressured to be diverse. The least effective to me was the Supreme Irony because there is not a whole lot of explanation so one has to draw there own reason about what it means.

Analyzing advertisement post
The advertisement I chose to analyze is a poster of the "Coors Light Twins" who also did commercials. The Coors Light company created the visual text and it is distributed by them as well. The idea behind the image is that it makes guys think that if they drink Coors Light they will be able to hang out with beautiful women like the twins. The twins are wearing short short's and have pom poms and they are cheering. Under the picture there is a statement that says "Here's to Football." The image makes me want to buy Coors Light because it gives me the impression that if I drink Coors Light I will be able to hang out with women like that. The ad wants the eyes to focus on the twins bodies so it gets their attention. Then hopefully they will read the ad under it about Coors Light. There is a water fountain in the background which I think represents refreshment. The image is suppose to portray a fun, relaxing time if you buy and drink Coors Light and I think it gets the message across.

International space program the next steps
The International space program is a program that I think should be continued. Even though it cost millions of dollars, in the greater perspectives of things the program will allow for us to learn more about the universe and what is really out there. I one of the next steps should be going farther into space. I think that if astronauts would be willing to go farther into space that we could learn so much more about space. It would mean that the astronauts would have to give up there families and friends for a few years, but they would go down in history once they come back to Earth. The step would try to get the astronauts to Mars and back safely. Or even letting people stay longer in the International Space Station, like allowing astronauts to bring their pets or other animals to see how they would react to the new environment.

3rd Essay Prompt credibility
For my credibility, I am going to use past people from the hall of fame along with the owners of the sports. This is because they own certain corporations so they have the authority to make the rules and credentials to induct an athlete into the hall of fame. The other credibility I am using will be the athletes that have already been inducted. This is because they know what is needed since they were once there and passed the credentials to be inducted. The committees that these franchises have are entitled to make the rules since they pay money and run the sport to make it what it is in the first place. Without the owners and the committees making the credentials nobody would know what was what because everybody would want a say; that is why there decision is the final one. This allows for only the athletes that should be inducted are inducted.

3rd Essay Prompt
For my essay, I am going to be defining what makes a Hall of Famer a Hall of Famer. This is because I enjoy watching sports and everyone has their own opinion about what makes an athlete meet that criteria. For example, in basketball should someone who has averaged 25 points a game be inducted over someone who had 15 points and 10 assists per game. It is tough for those individuals who have to induct players over other players that to some people might have been better than the ones inducted. That is why I think they should have a set goal so nobody is cheated. In baseball, it takes years after players have retired before they are ever inducted. A set goal would allow for the players who met the goal to be inducted. There is no way to please everyone all of the time so I think that every manager in the sport should discuss and vote on the goal.

2nd Essay Rhetorical Comparison Blog
For my essay, I am going to compare the TV ad of Doritos and the Food Network show "Hell's Kitchen". I want to compare and contrast these two medias because they both talk about food but use two different concepts. For example the commercial uses humor to attract the audience while "Hell's Kitchen" uses anger and frustration to appeal to the audience. The commercial gets its point across in thirty seconds but the TV series makes the audience want to tune in every week to see what is going to happen next. They both use logical facts (logos) to inform the audience what the purpose is. For example, the commercial's purpose is to get the audience to want and buy Doritos. For the TV series, it is about who will make it through the tough challenges to receive the grand prize of there own show on the Food Network. They both use emotion (pathos) to attract the audiences attention.
